Cozumel is an island located off the east coast of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula just south of Cancun and across from the mayan riveria. The island is approx. 9x12 miles with the main town being San Miguel. San Miquel is full of shopping opportunities due the cruise ship industry which uses it as one of their premier locations. San Miguel also has many fine restaurants featuring both local and fine French cuisine. Fresh seafood caught daily by local fisherman are a speciality in many of the local restaurants. Our house “Neustra Casa” is located just south of San Migel in the pretigiuos area known as Corpus Christie. A nice quiet local community just four blocks from the waterfront and within walking distance to the largest shopping area and 5 screen cinema on the island. Nuestra Casa is a 3 bedroom 3 bath home with it's own private backyard pool. The property is completely walled to give you that warm secluded feeling. Each room has it's own TV, VCR and air conditioner. The house has cable TV and high speed internet connection. So bring your laptop and tell those back home about the wonderful time your having. For those of you without a laptop there are numerous inexpensive internet cafes so you too can tell those back home about you wonderful vacation. We also hve a full video library ( over 200 selections), just in case you have some down time and would like to catch up on some movies.
Things to DO—as we said before the Scuba Diving in Cozumel is the best. Many of the beaches have shallow reefs which will keep you occupied all day long, and most of theses beaches are wonderful places to have lunch. Water sports are also at most beaches—jet ski---mountain climbing –trampolines.
Stop at Chankanab or Punta Sur Parques and learn more about the island, and while at chakanab try SNUBA for those who are not certified and see what its like to scuba dive. While on the island make sure you take a ride to the east coast –the windward side- for a different look of the island. Not much to do there-- but wonderful views, beautiful beaches, stop at Mescalitos-for drinks—Chen Rio for their seafood special—and Coconuts for drinks and a beautiful view.
